Having worked in both state and private settings, I have an extensive understanding of the British schooling system. I’ve seen first-hand how important interviews can be to secure that place in your desired future school. I’m a firm believer that academic results do not provide the full picture of your child, and as time passes, I’m assured that schools take a similar approach. It is for this reason that the interview is the best time to engage with the school, and sell yourself, leaving no stone unturned in their minds. Throughout my career, I have always felt that building a rapport face-to-face does more to convince someone than any CV ever could, and the independent school application process is no different.
